Sold for 6.1 million dollars. Not very expensive even for a composite.

I'm wondering, did bidders hesitate because they thought composite meant restored? From what I recall, the vast majority of it is genuine fossil other than the arms and a couple other parts? That restored Triceratops a while back sold for more right? If the buyer wanted to, they could separate the 3 individuals, and make replacement parts for all 3 and have 3 T. rex skeletons. Another factor, and maybe a big one was because there was less free publicity from paleontologists and social media influencers constantly talking about it before the auction happened compared to when Stan was announced for auction. Now that the auction is over, people are talking about it, but there wasn't a huge amount of publicity prior.
Troodon
Surprised it even reached that amount, quite a hodgepodge of bones. Have to wonder how similar in size are the 3 sets of animals.
