Bought this piece of Baltic amber in a instagram store. It looks very real to me. But I dont know much about the amber fossils

While the pictures look good and like what i’d expect to see with baltic amber it is IMPOSSIBLE to tell just from a picture. I recommend the u,v test. Its easy, quick, cheap, non-destructive, and virtually fool proof. You just shine a u.v. Light on it and it should flouresce. Mostly blue-green… see pictures below…

I agree. 

It does look genuine. 

The midges in amber are quite common and not worth faking. 

 

But as Randyw says, a uv test will confirm

Amber looks real to me. With midges there are no fakes known, with dragonflies, lizards and other rare ones always be careful. Lot of them are modern..
