I joined today just to figure out what I’ve found out back today. Found in Johnson County Missouri. Does also seem to be hollow as I can hear something shaking around inside. Is about 3” in diameter. Welcome to the forum.  Sorry, but not an egg. The outer layer is way too thick to be a shell and is also not a consistent thickness.
