SawTooth

Recommended Posts

I found this yesterday, I was wondering if it was the root to some sort of whale tooth.

I have a picture of the only place where it shows the horizontal lines (in very scientific terms), but I'm not sure if those are just from damage.

Thoughts? Thanks!

My favorite things about fossil hunting: getting out of my own head, getting into nature and, if I’m lucky, finding some cool souvenirs.

Never mind the colors.  The colors are completely location dependent.  It reminds me of the outer part of this Pygmy Sperm Whale tooth, I found on land in the Bone Valley.
