Indiana fossil trip

so I  am new to fossil hunting but have went out the past couple days and have had a blast.  But I can not figure out how to attach photos! I select add photos, and nothing happens. What gives?

I am not getting notifications,  other than this one. I just joined and I am lost. I  even tried to make a photo album. Will not add photos

Are you on a phone or a PC?

 

You cannot make a gallery until you have more posts under your belt.  It is a delayed permission.

So how does this work?  Am not getting notifications that people have even replied to my threads. I  have read threads for awhile now and thought it was super cool and there are really knowledgeable people on here. So I  joined. The past couple of days I  have went out and found some really cool things ( to me) . Some of them I have no idea what they are, and some I have an idea, but would like to have them confirmed by people that know more than I  do.

When I click "add files". I get a blue box highlighted around the options, and that is all.

If you go back to your home screen, do you have any option to choose your files to add?

In regards to the notifications, I would check your settings under Account, Account Settings, Notifications.

Just checked my account settings. Still can not add photos.... waiting to see if I  get notifications

In my opinion, life was much less complicated in the days when you just used pencil and paper.

Less complicated perhaps, but much more limited in what it is possible to do.  For example, what would the Fossil Forum look like if limited to pencil and paper?

Speaking of trilobites, how common are they to find on an average?

That very much depends on location with some locations having an abundance, whereas they can be scarce in others. Generally speaking, moulted and disarticulated fragments will usually outnumber complete specimens.

Very cool. I have logged 2.5 to 3 hrs so far, and have found 12 or so partials, mainly meeki I believe. I am super new to this. About 3 months ago I  decided to buy myself a meg tooth, and it quickly became an obsession! I  now have 12 meg teeth, and numerous others of various species, as well as some really nicely prepped trilobites. If we could get the files to work correctly I would share photos with you. So anyhow. I had all these super cool fossils, and not a single one had I found myself. So .... decided to start fossil hunting, and it too is becoming an obsession
