What browser? You might try a different browser, or set your browser to Desktop Mode.

I use Firefox on my phone. Works fine.

Not sure man. But I  have never had any issues on anything else. Is it possible that an admin has blocked that option for me since I  am new?

@Newbie_1971 Just from the commiseration angle...I, too, had some speed bumps like this when I first joined TFF August 5th after searching for fossil preparation on the web.  But I didn't ask for help and got my bumps and lumps worked out. Mainly it was me and the learning curve of the TFF platform + I seem to eat "stoopid soup"
all too often.  Keep at it, the road will smooth out quickly. One of the best forums I've ever participated in. Way, way low on the "Drama scale" ...like non-existent. I appreciate the Moderators and the work they do to make this what it is. Fabulous Fossil Information and Enjoyment of all things Fossils. Plus some great global forumites on here.

And I'm much further along from cuneiform. Right up there with my Viking ancestors. Much simpler but granite is very unforgiving to typos.

Try a different device or someone else's or a PC at the library. Obviously, others are posting photos from their devices, so it must be something specific to your device that's making it not possible.

No.

We wouldn't have much of a Forum, if we blocked new people from posting photos.

As Mark said, sounds like some sort of issue on your end. I can post from a PC, Phone, or my Kindle Fire.

You should either try a different browser, or a different device.
