It was determined that this fossil specimen collected by me and formerly residing in my collection was potentially a new species. After sending the specimen to Torrey Nyborg for examination, it was confirmed to be a new species of Porcelain crab from the late Cretaceous of Southern Vancouver Island. This new species was determined to be the "oldest species of Petrolisthes Stimpson, 1858 and is the first species from the northeastern Pacific".
