That's interesting. Are there any other obscure palaeontology exhibits in the museum I might not be aware of? Obviously there are the dinosaur, ichthyosaur and Earth galleries, and there are fossils in the mammal, human evolution, 'lasting impression' and reptile  galleries, Hintze hall and in that weird hallway between the mammal and dinosaur galleries, but are there any fossils anywhere else? I haven't been since I was very young, so I cannot remember much and the museum has changed quite a bit since then.

I am not sure, probably since the museum is massive...
Let me think for fossils there is indeed the Hintze Hall, The treasure room, the dinosaur gallery, the mammal gallery, there is a Smilodon skeleton in the mammal taxidermy hallway, the marine reptile hallway, close to that there is a small hallway with fossils from britain, there is the Earth Hall with the stegosaur and some fossils, the human evolution gallery, from the beginning gallery which has along with the dinosaur gallery the most fossils and that's it I think...

There are a couple fossils between the Earth Hall, Jurassic World Shop and Bird Gallery as well.

Ok thanks, I forgot about the Treasures gallery and the random fossils scattered between galleries.

  • 1 month later...

I am bit late to the party, but I just want to say that this was one of the best trips I ever saw here. I really enjoyed it. Lots of high quality pictures. Great work :)
