Footprint and gastropod look OK. That mosasaur jaw has issues.

This is just blowing me away as the footprint was purchased from the same group that sold me the mosasaur jaw.

Keep in mind, not everyone who sells composites or fakes knows what they are selling. They are just looking to make $$$.

They may know what they are selling. They may not. NOT for us to discuss here. We focus on the fossils themselves.

There is a sucker born every minute, and the dealers have no compunction about taking advantage of that.

Education about fossils can save lots of wasted money.

The snail is real, not sure about the footprint, but the mosasaur jaw is horrible. :shakehead:

The shell looks modern. The mosasaur jaw looks like it has real painted teeth and composite bone. And the Footprint looks strange.....

More information about the fossils themselves would be helpful. I agree the footprint looks a bit off, but, depending on where it comes from, it could be real.

Definitely not typical Newark Supergroup type footprint matrix.

The footprint is supposedly Lower Jurassic and from Languedoc Roussllion, France.

The jaw is upper cretaceous and from Oued Zem, Morocco

The snail is pliocene from Florida

I've see giant gastropods and clams come from the Pliocene of Florida.

France makes sense on the footprint. Their footprints come in strange matrix, (to me, at least).

The mosasaur jaw is a bad composite of teeth and maybe real bone. Bad root attachments, though.

The gastropod looks fine.  I have a few just like it from the Florida Pliocene.

The mosasaur is composited from chunks of bone and isolated teeth.  Look how the jaw is made up of five pieces.  Do you think that a jaw would break like that and still all stay together, and with all the teeth still attached?

I am not familiar with footprints, so I can't comment on that one.

the proportions of the different fingers seem suspect, as well as the shape for footprint from Languedoc Roussillon...

The footprint proportions look a bit strange to me. And I think a problem is that it was enhanced with color and also the contours are drawn. Normally you only chose one option to improve the visibility. Together it looks odd. Not sure what would be left of it when you remove this.

The teeth in the jaw look painted. And as far as I know the density of teeth is way too high. Also the shape of some teeth (rather thin, pointed) remind me of spinosaurid? Besides the proportions between the teeth size and the jaw thickness does not look natural.
