Tiny fossil bone- beach find Myrtle beach SC

Hi all!

     Havent posted in  awhile  but have a massive number of fossils from  trip my brother and I took to Colorado, Wyoming and Utah late summer. All still in boxes and more about that later, but, found this interesting "polished" piece on Myrtle beach this month. First thought was echinoid plate, but pretty thick for its size. the other side is slightly concave, has a central "opening" which enlarges but doesn't penetrate through. Marks are millimeters, so pretty tiny. Any and all thoughts appreciated!  Bone

It looks like some sort of fish tooth to me, but I can't be any more specific than that.

Agree, it looks like a fish tooth.  Maybe a porgy or at least something from the Sparidae family.

Probably from a black drum pharyngeal plate.
