Slapbrams
Hi! I found this today and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what it is. Thank you! Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
minnbuckeye
If it is a fossil, I would guess something like a crab claw. We should wait for someone more experienced to weigh in. Here is an example from Fossil Guy of crab claws. Yours is much bigger, making me question my idea.

But a ruler in cm or inches is much better than a hand to give the size ! sixgill pete
Absolutely a broken part of a shell, probably a bivalve. Likely from the hinge area. Also, as @Coco said please use some type of a ruler, preferably metric for scale in pics. Hands come in many different sizes. 2 Bulldozers and dirt Bulldozers and dirt behind the trailer, my desert Them red clay piles are heaven on earth I get my rocks off, bulldozers and dirt Patterson Hood; Drive-By Truckers May 2016 May 2012 Aug 2013, May 2016, Apr 2020 Oct 2022
