Help!
So we found this in our backyard and we’re pretty sure it’s a fossil. Any help identifying what it could be ?

Found in Middle Tennessee, Dekalb County

Husband did the “lick test” he found online and it is sticky 🤣

I've heard "lick test", not "stick test", but I don't recommend licking any fossils.  I think it is geological but may have fossils on it.

Those who know inverts will have to ID, because I don't.

I love licking fossils, not that I think it has any particular benefit.

Tidgy does too.

😂
but yes the lick test only shows that its porous. And yes I have heard it called both lick test and stick test (as in stick to your tongue) I don’t recommend either but if you enjoy it like

Tidgy  (🥰) then have fun! LOL!

Yeah, this is where I’m at.  It’s limestone, and appears to have traces of fossils, though what I’m not sure.
