Glen93
Hi guys, coming to you again as I’m still new at buying to add to my collection and came across what appears to be a good egg! I’m a fan of it and it’s fairly cheap, just under 4” but the owner admittedly got this in an estate so doesn’t know anything about it, would you recommend adding it to a little collection? And any ideas what group it may come from if it is genuine?
Darktooth
Looks like a concretion to me. There is no eggshell pattern that I can see. 1 3 I like Trilo-butts and I cannot lie.
Fossildude19
Yes, this is a nodule or concretion. The rind is much too thick to be eggshell, along with the lack of any eggshell texture. jpc
but it is one of the most egg-like non-eggs we have seen in a while. 1
FossilNerd
I agree. Not an egg, but a great look alike. A worthy addition to the “cool rock” shelf. Psittacosaur9
Doesn't look like an egg to me; the shape is still distorted. Could still be a nice concretion to have if it's cheap.
