As the others have said, this is a piece of an ammonite.  Along Duck Creek, many pieces can be found, and even some whole ones.  It probably comes from one similar to the picture below that I borrowed from the txfossils.com website just so you can see what a more complete ammonite fossil looks like if you are not familiar with them.

Fragment of a very large ammonite. I would say 15 to 18 inches diameter.
