Otodus auriculatus

Eocene

Monmouth county, New Jersey

In over 40 years of collecting and researching fossil, this is my finest find from NJ. Personally collected on Jan. 7, 2023.

Thats a very nice tooth. Ric's are my favorite mega shark tooth, I would take onre ric over 10 megs anyday.

Perfect find and amazing serrations! Biggest apex predator shark I've seen from Monmouth.

Great root, great serrations, great butlet, perfect cusps, and nice color this tooth has everything. Congrats on such a good find!

Wow! I once read that a lot of the auriculatus have feeding damage on the tips. So hard to find one like this without too.

I love those cusps! So many serrations!
