This looks like the result of hydration weathering. Water actually incorporates itself into the crystal structure of the rock causing its volume to increase and cracking open the surface layer.

Not a fossil. This looks like a regular rock. So , about as valuable as a broken rock.

Why do you think it is a fossilized Brazil nut?
