meteorquake
Pic 1-2 look to me like a network of roots and I can see the pebbles there but it's a bit hard to make sense of the cavities which look somewhat artificial but then the rest doesn't look especially like something humans would make. Pic 3-4 look rather like some sort of seaweed... Any suggestions would be good!
Fossildude19
The first two images look like examples of Geologic Boxwork. Not sure on the other two photos. They could be some sort of geologic formations from geothermal forces/processes, or could be some form of ichnofossil. I would lean towards the first option. 3 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." Rockwood
Assuming these are numbered from the bottom up. 1-2 look a lot like biogenic tufa. Perhaps precipitated around a root system. 1
meteorquake
Thank you both, those both look good answers, and fascinating processes. I see there's some Calcareous Tufa pictures that match pics 3-4 at https://www.mindat.org/min-853.html especially the first 2 on that page.
