New Members ILikeDinosaurs Posted January 12 New Members Share Posted January 12 I have a mosasaur tooth in matrix but it is surrounded by a cluster of what are presumably fish bones. There are a few vertebrae visible but I can’t seem to identify more than that. It’s from Khourigba, Morocco and is about 8 cm x 7 cm. Just wondering what these bones might be from (similar photos online make it seem like it could be pieces of an enchodus skeleton?)
Fossildude19
Could be Enchodus sp., but vertebra are not diagnostic to species. I don't think you can do more than label them as "fish bones, indet." (cf. Enchodus libycus) 2 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks."
