Another Unidentified Fossil From Arkona. Clam-shaped

Tristan

Recommended Posts

So I know I recently posted some fossils that I couldn’t identify, but I’m sorting through my collection and I have found a lot more fossils which I can’t t identify. Could someone help me identify these clam-shaped fossils that I found in Arkona? Any help would be appreciated.

The item on the left is an Athyris spiriferoides brachiopod.

The other two I cannot make out.

Would be helpful if you would post images of BOTH SIDES of the items.

Also, the photo is a bit dark. Maybe some better lighting would help, as well.

The second item MAY be some sort of spiriferid, but I cannot really make it out well.

Cropped, brightened, and rotated.

The other sides of these fossils are completely missing, but here’s another picture of the two. Thanks for the help!🙏

These are brachiopods, not clams. Bivalves are not all that common in these Arkona outcrops, but brachiopods are a dime a dozen so to speak.
