It also somewhat resembles the pelvis of a bowhead whale as far as I can tell from pictures (most whales have even further reduced pelves than that and variation is high even between individuals) https://socratic.org/questions/what-are-whale-vestigial-pelvic-bones Either way, a cool find, and I wonder what @Boesse may think?
