Nothosaurus
Greetings everyone. This is my first time on the form. I purchased this supposedly genuine Nothosaurus fossil. I am questioning its genuineness. I would really appreciate any input from those of you who are knowledgeable in this area. I have added photos. Thank you so much
Nothosaurus
Oh, I might add that the matrix is 5 inches long and 4 inches wide.

-Andy-
This is 100% fake. Please seek a refund for it 1 Looking forward to meeting my fellow Singaporean collectors! Do PM me if you are a Singaporean, or an overseas fossil-collector coming here for a holiday!
Fossildude19
MOVED TO IS IT REAL?? Fake as a 3 dollar bill. It is a very poorly carved art piece. Hopefully, it can be returned, or you didn't pay too much for it. 1 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." trilobites_are_awesome
Totally fake I am afraid. Cheers! James
SPrice
Hopefully the purchase price is low if a refund is not possible. It appears to be a broken rock slab, glued back together and then a "Not - a - saurus " was carved and painted onto the slab. One could still put it on a stand and display it for a conversation piece.
Nothosaurus
Thank you so much dear fossil friends for your wise advice. I can’t believe I received these responses so quickly. I appreciate each and everyone of you in helping me with this matter. I am going to try to get a refund. God bless you all! Psittacosaur9
I'd actually buy it if I had the chance, simply due to how hilariously fake it is.
