My favorite things about fossil hunting: getting out of my own head, getting into nature and, if I’m lucky, finding some cool souvenirs.

A fantastic multi slab. Congrats! I have fond memories of when you initially posted it, and those Cryptos are challenging to find complete. If you are open to the suggestion, you might even consider having it prepared a bit more to remove the matrix from the cephalons of the ventral specimens (although it is just as remarkable a piece without it!). They take well to that treatment without much danger of damage. Having prepared ventrals of this genus before, it can be a bit of a slog, but somewhat worth it. :trilosurprise: Looking at the piece with more scrutiny, there are more in there that are begging to see the light of day!

Thanks Kane!  I may try and touch it up a bit more, it’s currently in the hands of Dean Ruocco (who had shown me the site, and requested that he has temporary possession of the plate), but he would definitely let me clean up some of the bugs and do some exploratory prep!
