piranha Posted January 28 Share Posted January 28 The lens formula for Reedops pembertoni is a nearly perfect match with 18 lens files: your specimen is only missing a single lens in the 1st position of lens file 7. That lens shows a small font representing a diminutive lens in that position. In this case it is entirely absent. The numbers in the diagram indicate the lens frequency variability. The diagram represents a sample size of 23 specimens. The smaller numbers represent the number of individuals that have an additional lens or lenses in a vertical lens file.
