Please help me identify this fossil. It appears to be a tooth.

Hello,

 

Can anyone please help me identifying the attached item?  It’s about 2cm long and appears to be a fossilized tooth of some sort.

My best guess is a Hemipristis serra (snaggletooth) but it's quite worn, so I could be wrong.

I dunno what’s sadder, finding out it’s just an ordinary shark tooth or being crowned King of the defective teeth.  Eh, I’ll take what I can get😜
