ThickHead808
Hi everybody, Today I bring you pictures of what is allegedly a Pachy tail vertebrae with intact processes. I studied what has been found from Pachycephalosaurus and I'm struggling to place this bone along the tail, which is what the seller is claiming. I don't see where the processes are swept back like this one is. Could this be a different dinosaur? The same seller also has a Pachycephalosaurus rib which I'm also trying to figure out how to ID. Any help is appreciated.
Daze
The vertebra looks more Thescelosaurus to me, don't know about the rib. Edited February 8 by Daze
Alex S.
I know I say this a lot but post cranial elements are hard to distinguish between Thescelosaurus and Pachycephalosaurus. Ribs are just really hard to tell in general. Have you asked the seller how he came to that conclusion?
ThickHead808
Oh its from a website whose owner just uploaded a bunch of stuff from Tucson. I'm guessing the seller at Tucson has more information.
