Early Jurassic plant material for identification

Recommended Posts

Here are a few plant fossils that I have recently found from the Early Jurassic East Berlin Formation in Hartford County, Connecticut, USA.

Conifer shoots and a number of mystery plates. Comments, or an identification would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Nice finds!

I think that your Unidentifiable stem like pieces  may be referable to Baiera muensteri/Baiera multifida or Loperia simplex.

Thank you again Tim for your help. I wasn't at all surprised by the number of unidentifiable plant fossils. That's how I labeled and stored them!! #5 is interesting, could be two pieces of Otozamites  sp. pinnule being overlapped by other unidentifiable plant material.
