Fossildude19
I've put in the English translations. I am not seeing any kind of fossils here. These look like limestone to me. Dating would require knowing where in Jordan these were found. 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." moataz
My friend, we started digging at the sign of a fountain, then we dug, and at a depth of 4 meters, we found 3 stones, and in the middle we found a mark, and we continued digging, and at a depth of 7 meters, we found a rock with the symbols on it. Kane
No symbols visible in these images, but as a fossil forum we certainly would be interested in any fossils being dug up. ...How to Philosophize with a Hammer

Kane
Photos would be best. The pictures seem to indicate limestone erratics. Perhaps some research of the geology of the area would tell you more. ...How to Philosophize with a Hammer

moataz
This rock is at a depth of 7 meters and says that these are Greek letters, but I could not find an analysis of them

Ludwigia
I'm seeing an interesting formation or two in the rock, but no Greek letters. And if you keep on banging away at it with your chisel that won't help matters. I agree with what Franz said above. If you have any suspicion that this is an artifact, then show it to an expert in the field. Greetings from the Lake of Constance.
