just starting a fantastic Cyclobatis from lebanon and found the - it looks like - jaw.

What do you think? I did several but thats the first one having the complete (as it looks like) jaw

Size of the ray is around 15 cm Diameter, seems to be the rare tuberculatus

It does look like cartilage, to me.


Can we see a picture of the entire fossil as it is?

I think it is a jaw, it looks similar to dasyatis teeth, not saying that's what species this is, just comparing. I dont know if tuberculatus have similar looking teeth or not

I will do some of the complete specimen next days. It is stored till Friday, thats my prepday :-). But I did two more, showing the middle of the ray and the three-spines-tail. This lets me assume it is C. tuberculatus

thanks for the pics. Yes, it looks really "comparable". I will go on prepping at friday, might be it shows more details then
