I found this rock for sale and my son loved it . Unfortunately they don’t know what it is . The rock is shaped like a potato about it rattles . I would like know more details before I buy it

Hi! Welcome to the forum! “Rattle rocks” are often a form of geode. Minerals dissolved in Water seeps into a natural void in a rock and forms crystals inside. Some of them break off the sides and that’s what you hear rattling when you shake it. If carefully broken open some are lovely inside and some are kind of blah… if your son loves it as a rattle rock I wouldn’t suggest opening it though…
