I don't know if it's true there are only the two sources, but that's what I'm told.

- There are several occurrences in Austria, but none of these are by far so rich as the Sunk mine, where you are having a hard time finding "normal" magnesite. About 5 Mio tonnes of this material were mined and mining is ongoing. At the other occurrences, you are having a hard time finding good pinolite, but it turns up from time to time.

- Than there is that occurrence in BC.

- And I know of an occurrence in Spain, of which are two in mindat.

I might have guessed there could be more than one occurrence in Austria, as there is often an area rather than a single mine for any given material.

Funny, I suspected the info I had about the occurrences might be wrong, and I was right. Can't seem to trust info I get from the rockhounds, as it's generally hearsay, or maybe it's my own memory that is faulty. I thought someone said the BC site was near Golden, but apparently it's much further south, near Salmo. I'm glad you brought this up, now I can correct my label!

Anyway, not to divert the topic... Carry on folks, if there is more to discuss.
