Crystal Gale
Can someone please help me identify this? I found it at our camp site on the Chattahoochee river in Chattahoochee County Georgia. I’ve been researching and it seems to be very similar to some of the pictures of fossilized skin….. Any ideas would much be appreciated. Thanks so much!
rocket
Hi, very nice and colorful stone I do not think it is skin, but it might be eroded dinosaurbone. The texture looks like and reminds me to. But I am not sure
FB003
No clue what it is but I would have picked it up too. I like the coloring. I'm sure someone will chime in with the right questions and possibilities soon. *Frank*
jpc
I think it is a well eroded piece of bone.... dinosaur or something else. Can we see a photo of the broken edge?
automech
Welcome to the Forum. That is a wild looking piece. I had to do a double take on your name. I was thinking, it couldn't be the Crystal Gayle? After I looked up the singers name. Edited February 28 by automech
Mark Kmiecik
Very possibly dino bone or even giant crocodile, especially if from Chattahoochee County. Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
