What is it? Found by Lake Michigan in Wisconsin

I’m guessing it’s fossilized coral however the white things in the holes are throwing me off. Any idea?

I think this may be the tabulate coral Syringopora.

so water worn...but I'll toss out a guess that it's the coral Hexagonaria

I'm with @Rockwood, looks like Syringopora encased in silica with the calcite corallites weathering out. There's a nice connecting tubule. :)
