Howdy all,

Does anyone know what this appalachiosaurus skull reconstruction is based on?

I've seen it and another that looks more like a Dryptosaurus and I'm not sure which is the correct one based on the holotype.

no, sorry, I do not know. Best is to ask where the cast is exhibited, perhaps they know

I only remember that skeleton had huge arms that got replaced with more accurate shorter arms. But skull was kept the same.

All I know that it was first thought to be Albertosaurus or albertosaurine. And then refered by ridges top of the snout to be similar to Daspletosaurus and Aliorimus, but I have no idea what was used to fill up the skull.

Or did anything change when it was placed in its current classification.

There's no such thing as too many teeth.
