I’m trying to get better at identification so I labeled the pieces with what I think they are but some I can’t figure out.

I would love some guidance if anyone has any input! Thanks

The circled one on the left is Hemipristis. The one on the right is probably Carcharhinus, but could be Sphyrna mokarran.

  • Fossildude19 changed the title to My finds from the other day on the beach at northern Amelia Island.

1-4 all look like chunks of bone - unidentifiable any further, I think.

I have a small piece fairly similar to your #3 'pimply' chunk; I was told it was turtle. I have learned through trial and error and advice that it is hard to distinguish further than that, even if it seems definitive. My guess would be a softshell type, if I had to specify.
