CFerraioli
I’m making a trip down the coastline of North and South Carolina; from Topsail Beach to Charleston. I know there sites in Charleston for basilosaurus fossils, but I’m curious if anyone knew hidden gems of the Carolina coastline
Fin Lover
I'm not aware of any near Charleston. Eocene fossils came out of the quarries in Harleyville back when they could be hunted. 1 Fin Lover My favorite things about fossil hunting: getting out of my own head, getting into nature and, if I’m lucky, finding some cool souvenirs. sixgill pete
In my part of N.C. and to the south, Eocene fossils generally come out of quarries or closely guarded locations. Not heard of any found on the beaches.
