srlund76
Looked like part of a turtle shell but I'm not an expert- found on Myrtle Beach, SC - any help would be great! Edited March 12 by srlund76
daves64
I think that may be banded/layered chert or flint with some interesting cracking on the surface, but no shell. 1 2 Accomplishing the impossible means only that the boss will add it to your regular duties. Thomas.Dodson
I'd guess part of fossil bivalve shell. The growth lines combined with faint radiating striae are consistent with a hunk of a large bivalve. 1

Carl
I'm also seeing a chunk of clam shell. But I don't think those are cracks. The look more like borings from another invertebrate.
DAS_Rex
Yep. Shell piece with borings and bioerosion. Shells are delicious calcium and everybody wants it
