Conley
There is 3 formations in SE CO, not sure which one it is but they were all found in open prairie on a 1 acre spot no creek beds.
LSCHNELLE
It's the Upper Cretaceous age formations: Carlile Shale, the Greenhorn Limestone, the Graneros Shale, and the Dakota Formation. The Carlile is too young to have these teeth in it. The lower part of the Greenhorn and the Graneros both could have your Ptychodus in them. There is a small possibility that the uppermost Dakota could also have them in it.
Conley
Awesome. I was told the vertebrae were also from sharks. We find quite a bit of interesting stuff out there. Cattle trails are a good spot for us, as well as ant hills for smaller teeth. We also have found bone fragments and the piece that looks like it maybe came from a foot.
