Texas Gulf Coast finds.
Rollover Pass, Galveston.

What is the age of the specimens? What is the yellow stuff?

The stuff is yellow probably because of iron content. You could possibly determine the age if you could find out the precise stratigraphy of the finds. However, although they are heavily weathered, they may be nevertheless relatively recent if these are beach finds.
