Hello, i saw this Carcharodontosaurus tooth for sale today, and wondered If the root is real and belongs to It. I dont see anything wrong on it, but maybe you guys see something ive overlooked.

Thanks !

Well, there is quite some repair on the crown, and the last image makes me question if the tip is really from that tooth, the cutting edge flows in and out and in again.

Might be the angle, but looks strange to me.
Shape and the depression of the root look good.

I totally agree with your assessment.

I think JoeS is correct what comes about the crown.

There is color and texture change close to the tip. Also grooves at sides of the tooth stop in that spot.

There's no such thing as too many teeth.

+1 for fake tip. Possible other restorations.

As others have pointed out, this is not a good example of a Carch tooth. The crown has mayor resto, especially at one side. Serrations are mostly gone. And the root , we need more pictures to see if this one passes. I would avoid

Root doesnt look real either. High likely a fake.
