New Members eelxb Posted April 14 New Members Share Posted April 14 I was searching around the Lost River Quarry in West Virginia when my dad found this weird looking fossil. It has little bulbs and stuff can anybody tell me what this is?
Mark Kmiecik
First off, welcome to the forum. It looks like trilobite fragments. The bit with the little bulbs is part of the eye. If you Google "trilobite parts" you'll be able to see what the other bits may be. 3 Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them! Fossildude19
Bumpy part looks like a fenestrate bryozoan, but, better pictures are needed. Rockwood
I found something like this once. It was an odd feeling to see that one eye staring back at me.
ScottBlooded
Partial Viaphacops rana trilobites, just the eyes and little bits of surrounding cephalon. Very pretty find, welcome to the neighborhood!
