Claw or funky rock

First post to the forum, been avidly browsing for some time having been collecting fossils for some years. 

 

Not sure whether I've just found a funky rock or if it might be a claw or tooth. Found near Whitby. Anyone able to advise please.

Me too.

No bone/claw/enamel structure is visible, and the layered cross section indicates the fact for a concretion. Most likely an ironstone concretion.

You'd need to prep that in order  to know for sure in my opinion.
