Darktooth
A very nice treasure trove of fossil goodness! I have collected fossil shell only once in Florida, but I loved finding ones packed with matrix and all the smaller ones would be stuck in there. 1 I like Trilo-butts and I cannot lie. Balance
Time to arrange a Monkey Wrench Gang and stop the construction!! 😉 I’m truly excited and joyful for you. This is a rare thing and you’re getting to fully enjoy it. Well, almost. I suspect if this hobby continues you’ll make your way into smaller species and start kicking yourself for not screening the matrix too. Where’s Geeves? 😊😉 Jp

Imagine what I would find. I go crazy thinking about them flattening that pile with all the goodies in it.

SPrice
These are fantastic finds! I really like the color preservation on the first few shells. The bivalve with the bored hole probably was preyed upon by a Moon Snail as they are voracious predators which either wrap up their prospective with their large foot and wait for it to open or in this case they use an acid containing gland to soften a spot on the shell and then bore a clean, neat and usually beveled hole ( like your shell has ) to get its meal. The Horse Conch and Whelks with "windows" are pretty cool, too. 1 1
Tidgy's Dad
Wow! Amazing finds. I think I would be tempted to chain someone to the hill to stop them flattening it out. 2 Life's Good! Tortoise Friend.

Kimber
Here are all the baby shells that came out of the big shells and dirt. Also the little black rock like things. What are they?
Kimber
This 1 piece is so neat! Anyone know what the shell imprint may have been.
SPrice
At a guess the black rocks are gastroliths. As far as the last shell...not enough there for me to guess.
SPrice
Something like this might help. Maybe a copy is available at the local library.
minnbuckeye
https://neogeneatlas.net/ will have identifications for many of your bivalves and gastropods. It is worth going through if identifying your shells is important to you.
