Banner Day on the Peace river yesterday

I initially went on a scouting mission on last Thursday to find some new river bed to plunge my shovel into, walking downriver i stumbled (literally) over massive dugong rib frags underwater and poking out of the bank. I said to myself, this is too good to be true, undug river sections on a popular stretch of the peace? You bet!

Fast forward to yesterday, we started digging over a unique formation (Clay, gravel, clay)..it was gangbusters for the 4 of us all day..23 megs and a mako yonked out of the river.

Nice haul of megs. I'm jealous.  :)

My rookie fiance pulled out the mako and 4 of the megs, I should take her along more often.
