zkazyak
Hello all, quick question for you guys who have more knowledge than me. Is this a real raptor claw? Seller states its from the Hell Creek Formation, South Dakota. Pictures are as clear as the seller could give me. Its about .58"/1.4cm. Thanks! Rockwood
Sure looks like a claw core. It's either real or a high-quality reproduction.
rocket
looks good, but as mentioned, always possible to be a high-quality reproduction Could you post a close-up of the surface and the end part? Thanks
zkazyak
Seller is going to send me a couple more pictures later on, so I'll post them here when I get them.
Fossildude19
Lets not comment on the seller, just the fossil. Thank you. 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." Daze
Preservation doesn't look like coming from the Hell Creek Formation, more likely KemKem beds Morocco. Morphology of the claw is also similar to other common claws found in the KemKem. Jury is still out on whether it's theropod or pterosaur.
