Brevicollis
Hello, I found this "thing" a couple years ago in denmark, on the baltic sea and still dont have an idea what it could be. It remindet me of an eggshell tho, but there are no eggshells known from the baltic sea. And also, eggshell sounded too good to be true... I've read about inoceramus shells which could get quite big and preserve very fragmentary. Or is it just a mineral crust ? Thanks ! Sice : 3•3.2 cm, 0.4 cm thick. Formation : i dont know, baltic sea, denmark. I like fossils... Thats all I have to say.
Fossildude19
Looks geological to me. 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." TqB
It could be bivalve shell. The cross section fibres are certainly reminiscent of inoceramids and it could also be partly silicified on the surfaces. 1 Tarquin

It has also a slight curviture to it, which also makes me believe its a clam or bivalve shell. Just extremly weathered and silicified. Silicification is not very rare to find in fossils here, on the baltic sea. Edited April 29 by Brevicollis 1 I like fossils... Thats all I have to say.
