Brevicollis
Sorry to dissapoint, but this doesnt looks like any fossil I know of. It resembles more a water worn rock. How big is it, and where was it found ? 3 I like fossils... Thats all I have to say.
Rockwood
Agree that it looks like the shape of rocks found in a fast-flowing river, or wave pounded shore.
Fossildude19
Likely a concretion or nodule, and not an egg. 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." Rockwood
The context it was found in could be useful in determining if this is a concretion or an eroded rock.

Mark Kmiecik
Not a fossil. Not an egg. However, a very nice keeper rock. I would have grabbed it. I have dozens of rocks that you would swear are eggs, but are just egg-shaped rocks. This one has a really great egg shape from that angle. Is it just as eggy all the way around? Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
