Sorry to dissapoint, but this doesnt looks like any fossil I know of.

It resembles more a water worn rock.

How big is it, and where was it found ?

I like fossils...

Thats all I have to say.

Agree that it looks like the shape of rocks found in a fast-flowing river, or wave pounded shore.

Likely a concretion or nodule, and not an egg.

The context it was found in could be useful in determining if this is a concretion or an eroded rock.

It's pretty big and super heavy, if I was to guess it's about 6 inches long and 8 diameter

Not a fossil. Not an egg. However, a very nice keeper rock. I would have grabbed it. I have dozens of rocks that you would swear are eggs, but are just egg-shaped rocks. This one has a really great egg shape from that angle. Is it just as eggy all the way around?

Mark.

Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
