Brevicollis
Hello, Can you please provide us with some information ? Where was it found, how big is it, how does it feel on touch (stony, warm, cold...) and what do you want to know or find out with our help, why do you think its amber or resin,... I know, a picture tells more than a thousand words, but I think your words are necessary here Edited April 30 by Brevicollis 1 I like fossils... Thats all I have to say. Rockwood
Heat the head of a pin and touch it to the piece. Amber will give off a fragrant scent. Synthetic resins will smell more like burnt fruit.
holdinghistory
Looks like amber, but not polished yet. I would start working on polishing one of the sides, will be easy to confirm if it is amber that way. You might consider leaving one of the sides rough if you do polish it. If it is amber, amber has a really neat look with the front polished and the back left rough.
