Jiesen
Could someone please help me identify this small (~6 cm long, 2 cm diameter) cylindrical fragment, embedded in a surrounding rock matrix? It's certainly Cretaceous and marine, having been found in South Central TX. I was thinking baculite, belemnite, or maybe a crinoid. Thanks! Fossildude19
Looks more like an infilled burrow. No sutures, so not a Baculites. No calcite replacement, so not a belemnite either. 1 2 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." So like a worm tube, kinda? That makes sense. Thanks!
