Found black water diving - this has several symmetrical grooves. I've never found anything like it. 

The color and feel of it makes me think bone.

 

I haven’t found anything like it online, so at this point think it might be a rock:  so figured I would ask here before discarding it.

Found along with vertebrae and baleen whale rib bones and has a similar feel.

Found in south east Georgia by the Florida line. Diving a river bed. Thank you those are much clearer!
