ntloux
I acquired this specimen from the World of Science after they had lost any identifying information. After looking at a multitude of images on the internet I came to suspect that these are glossopteris leaves from the Permian (these leaves do not have the heart shaped base of macroneuropteris leaves). In addition, the bedrock displays similarities with specimens from Australia. I would appreciate comments from members of the Forum as to its identification and origin.
Tidgy's Dad
Yes, it looks to me like the Glossopteris sp and Glossopteris browniana specimens I have seen from the Permian of New South Wales, Australia. izak_
Likely from a property near Dunedoo, the preservation from this site is very distinctive.
